We made these cute paper Christmas wreaths. It was a project that my kids could do with minimal help from me, always a plus.
Start by trimming a piece of green construction paper to 18″ by 9″, then fold the paper in half the long way, hot dog style. Draw a line, a ruler width from the unfolded edge of the paper all along the length. Then make marks 1/2 to 1 inch along the paper from the folded edge to the long line you just drew.
Cut along the short horizontal lines, stopping at the long vertical line.
Now bend the paper around backward, so all your lines are on the inside of the wreath, and staple or tape the two edges together so you have a cylinder. This is the trickiest part and the part my younger kids needed help with. My 10 year old was able to do it on his own.
When you are finished you will have a wreath shape.
Next draw and cut out bows, berries, and whatever else you want to add to your wreath.
Glue or tape the decorations to your wreath.
Then hang the wreaths in a window, on a wall, or hang them from the ceiling.
