Layers of Learning Unit 1-8 contains hands on activities including crafts, games, experiments, writing projects, and more.  Learn about the ancient Assyrian empire, their battle chariots, shaduf irrigation, the ritual of Tamuz, and the famous battle between Sennacherib and Hezekiah. After that, map the deserts of the world, learn about the animals and plants that live there, and discover some of the landscape features of deserts.
