Layers of Learning Unit 2-18 starts by exploring the history of the native people of North America.  We divide the history into cultural groups: Inuit, Woodland, Mississippian, Southwest, and Pacific Northwest.  Then in geography learn about the modern country of Canada.  Next study technology including computers, robots, telephones, television, cell phones, radios, and infrared devices.  In the arts section read tales, make dream catchers, create fetish necklaces, and Native American symbolism.
