Layers of Learning Unit 1-5 contains hands on activities including crafts, games, experiments, writing projects, and more. You’ll learn the history of the Babylonian Empire including Hammurabi’s law and the seeder plow. In geography learn about how we use maps to show where people live and the marks we make on the land. We’ll study physical versus political maps, how country and state borders come to be, and distribution maps. Then in the science section learn about astronauts, telescopes, and how we study our universe. Finally, if you’ve thought poetry was boring and hard you’ll love learning about name poems, Clerihews, and self-portrait poems.
In each unit you’ll find a recommended library list, important background information about each topic, and lots of activities to choose from for kids of all ages.
