Conquistador hat craft

Here is a map of the Conquistador lands in central and South America.

And here is an example of the Conquistador map colored.

Baltic States

Igneous Rocks

  • An experiment about grain size to do with older kids, probably 14 years and up.  To do this experiment you need mannite and a microscope in order to view the crystal size differences.  (Do not do the second experiment with salol.)

Creative Kids

  • Tips on parenting so that kids naturally develop creativity, for the parent to read.
  • For kids who love books: have them select and read a book, then design a container that reflects their book.  The container should be decorated with items that show the characters, themes, setting, and climax of the book.  Put the book in the container then use the container to present the books, explaining what each part of the container and the container itself represents about the book.
  • Let kids choose a neglected spot (it can be very small or a bit bigger) in your home or yard or neighborhood, and create a design idea to improve the space to make it more beautiful and more useful.  Draw the design and make a list of materials with costs to complete the project.  Then you can decide to either actually do the project or not depending on your circumstances.
