When starting a new unit, sometimes the most difficult part is deciding which explorations you want to do. It’s difficult because you also have to decide which you’re going to be passing up…when you want to do them all! It makes me happy knowing that we have lots of wonderful things to come back to when this 4 year loop is over and we get to start again! Sometimes I find that because life got busy, we are pressed for time, and the exploration I had planned isn’t going to work out for us. Layers of Learning is filled with so many explorations, I’ve been able to change course with alternative plans, with no effort at all. This has been an invaluable feature of this curriculum!
