Layers of Learning Unit 2-5 starts off with the history of the Anglo Saxons. You’ll learn about the Anglo Saxon takeover of Britain and the Danelaw period, and the famous tale of Beowulf. Next, we have a country study that includes the culture and landscape of Britain. Then you’ll study wild weather, which includes storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and blizzards. Last, we finish off this unit with King Arthur tales. You’ll learn about the Round Table, Guinevere, Excalibur, and the Holy Grail. We also examine characters and how to make interesting ones in the arts.
In each unit, you’ll find a recommended library list, important background information about each topic, and lots of activities to choose from for kids of all ages.
