Layers of Learning Unit 3-2 begins with the history of the Ottoman Empire. We include Osman, the founder, Suleiman the Magnificent, Janissaries, the Battle of Mohacs, the 1529 siege of Vienna, and the Battle of Lepanto. Then in the geography section, we’ll study the culture, people, and landscapes of Egypt and Libya. Next, in science learn all about reptiles and amphibians. In the poetry section, write diamantes, cinquains, and more fun forms of poetry. There are all kinds of hands-on explorations for kids of all ages to discover with your family in Unit 3-2.
In each unit, you’ll find a recommended library list, important background information about each topic, and lots of activities to choose from for kids of all ages.
