Layers of Learning Unit 3-3 starts with the history of the Moguls of India. We include the emperors Humayun, Akbar, Jahangir, Jahan (of Taj Mahal fame), and Aurangzeb, and the Grand Trunk Road. Then learn about the culture of Afghanistan and Pakistan. While learning the science of fish, study life cycles, anatomy, classification, and behavior. Finally, in the arts, learn about Mogul paintings, miniatures, landscaping, and architecture. These are not the typical pet topics of many curriculum choices out there; you will love learning new things right alongside your kids as you explore this unit as a family.
