Student Journals
Each student keeps a personal journal of their learning through the Layers of Learning curriculum. Instructions in the units help kids add drawings, captions, lists, foldables, maps, and more. The journal is kept for fours year, clear through the cycle, and becomes a keepsake of the homeschooling journey as well as a way to review.
Book of Years
The Book of Years is a timeline combined with large spaces for drawing pictures and writing captions about individual civilizations and time periods in world history. The book has a dated timeline bar along the top section and unit titles for each section. Choose between a spiral bound paperback and a PDF version.
World Explorer Journal
Students fill the World Explorer Journal with drawings, foldables, maps, lists, and sentences about the things they learn about the world as they study Layers of Learning geography. The book has maps of each region and headings for each unit. Choose between a spiral bound paperback and a PDF version.
Science Notebook
The Science Notebook copies the real notebooks used by scientists to record their data, experiment notes, and results. The pages have a grid background to make it easier to draw diagrams, tables, and graphs. They also are numbered and have spaces for titles, dates, and initials at the bottom of the page. Students create their own table of contents as they observe natural phenomenon, craft foldables, and perform experiments in the Layers of Learning Science courses. Choose between a spiral bound paperback and a PDF version.
Art Sketchbook
Students use the Art Sketchbook to draw, paint, color, craft, and take notes about art as they complete the Layers of Learning Arts courses. The pages are printed with unit titles for each section and graphic elements such as frames, charts, and sketches that give inspiration to the artist. Choose between a spiral bound paperback and a PDF version.
Writer's Journal
The Writer's Journal is a private place for young writers to record their thoughts, make lists, brainstorm, write story ideas, pound out rough drafts, and generally get ideas down on to paper. The Writer's Journal is an essential part of Writer's Workshop and every writer needs his or her own notebook. Choose between spiral bound paperback and PDF versions.
